Usually during a migraine, only one part of the head is affected and other symptoms tend to come with it such as nausea and light or sound sensitivity. Pain may worsen with routine daily activity and if it is left untreated can last up to three days. Knowing what triggers the migraines can help eliminate them, and practices such as taking pain relief, laying in a dark and quiet room or utilizing a compress can help the symptoms.

Chronic Cluster Headaches

Headaches that persist off and on for multiple weeks may be cluster headaches. These are usually fall on the irritation side of the scale and can occur out of nowhere with no seeming trigger. Oxygen, head massages and preventative medications are the best way to alleviate these symptoms.
